MOMI2022: Sponsors

MOMI2022 has received funding from the following sponsors:

  • Inria – the “Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies du numérique”, promotes scientific excellence and technology transfer and has a major impact on our society. It employs 2,400 people. Its 200 agile project teams, usually with academic partners, involve more than 3,000 scientists in tackling the challenges of computing and mathematics, often at the interface of other disciplines. Inria works with many companies and has helped create more than 160 startups. It strives to meet the challenges of the digital transformation of science, society and the economy.
  • Quantificare – Created as a spin-off from INRIA, QuantifiCare has its roots in imaging science. QuantifiCare’s CEO and main founder, Jean-Philippe Thirion, had only one idea in mind: to provide “proof by image”.
  • Agence pour les Mathématiques en Interaction avec l’Entreprise et la Société (AMIES) – AMIES is a national organisation that aims to develop relationships between university mathematics research teams and companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). AMIES has three main objectives:
    (i) To encourage and support new collaborations specifically with SMEs; and to increase awareness of the value of mathematics for business.
(ii) Mobilise, motivate and (in)train academic researchers for these collaborations.
(iii) Change the image of mathematical research and increase its awareness, especially among (future) students.
  • Digital Systems for Humans (DS4H) is the first doctoral research school of the Université Côte d’Azur and the only one in France to focus on digital sciences. It is a multidisciplinary research and teaching programme focusing on the impact of the digital revolution on various disciplines such as computing, electronics, economics and law. Within DS4H, Masters and PhD students design and build the digital systems of tomorrow; they explore the links between humans and the digital world.
  • Ecole doctorale en Sciences Fondamentales et Appliquées – The Ecole Doctorale de Sciences Fondamentales et Appliquées, ED.SFA (ED 364), is co-accredited by two institutions: the Université de la Côte d’Azur (UCA, structure porteuse) and the Université des Sciences et des Lettres de Paris (PSL). It offers an exceptional environment for studies, research and integration into the international and industrial fabric of Mathematics and its interactions, Physics, Earth and Universe Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering Sciences and Agricultural and Ecological Sciences.
  • Investissements D’Avenir -The Programme d’investissements d’avenir (PIA) was set up by the State to finance innovative and promising investments in the country, in order to enable France to increase its growth and employment potential. From the emergence of an idea to the market launch of a new product or service, the PIA intervenes throughout the innovation life cycle and provides a link between public research and the world of innovation.
  • Université Côte d’Azur  – Université Côte d’Azur is an experimental university since January 1, 2020, replacing both the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis created in 1965 and the Communauté d’Universités et d’Etablissements Université Côte d’Azur created in 2015. Université Côte d’Azur now brings together 17 major universities around the historic university core to form one of the top 10 research-intensive universities in France.
  • Olea Medical – Olea Medical has built its reputation as a global leader in innovation by using unique scientific approach algorithms that allow them to overcome the limitations of medical imaging. One of their values is to preserve life and create innovative imaging solutions that serve human beings by providing improved diagnostic information for better patient care.
  • 3IA Côte d’Azur – Interdisciplinary Institute for Artificial Intelligence – 3IA Côte d’Azur is one of the four “Interdisciplinary Institutes for Artificial Intelligence” that were created in France in 2019. Its ambition is to create an innovative ecosystem that is influential at the local, national and international level. The 3IA Côte d’Azur institute is led by Université Côte d’Azur in partnership with major higher education and research partners in the region of Nice and Sophia Antipolis: CNRS, Inria, INSERM, EURECOM, and SKEMA Business School. The 3IA Côte d’Azur institute is also supported by ECA, Nice University Hospital Center (CHU Nice), CSTB, CNES, Data Science Tech Institute and INRA. The project has also secured the support of more than 62 companies and start-ups.
  • SMAI – Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles – is an association founded in 1983 on the initiative of French applied mathematicians who were aware of the specificity of their discipline and wished to ensure its expansion and development. Its objective is to contribute to the development of applied mathematics through research, applications in companies, publications, teaching and training of researchers and engineers.
  • MSI-Maison de la Modélisation, de la Simulation et des Intéractions – The MSI aims to encourage and provide a structure for transdisciplinary exchanges in research, and to develop links between academic research and local industries in the French SUD Region. This is accomplished in any scientific area domain requiring scientific and technical expertise in modeling, simulation and massive data processing.
  • Institut NeuroMod – The NeuroMod Institute for Modeling in Neuroscience and Cognition aims to promote modeling as an approach to integrating brain mechanisms and cognitive functions. To respond to this central challenge of integration in cognitive sciences, the institute relies on the interdisciplinary resources available within the Université Côte d’Azur: more than 250 researchers and 16 different laboratories and research entities.
