We are very pleased to announce the implementation of “The World of Industrial Mathematics” – “Le Monde des Mathématiques Industrielles” (MOMI2021), a two-day workshop on Applied and Industrial Mathematics.
Following the model of the previous four successful editions (MOMI2017 – MOMI2020), the goal of MOMI2021 is to allow young researchers to discover the link between the industrial world and applied mathematics and familiarize themselves with such approaches and related companies.
This year we have invited three very influential keynote speakers to talk about Computational Geometry:
- Prof. Pierre Alliez, Professor at 3IA Côte d’Azur, Inria Research Director and Head of Science, team leader of TITANE
- Dr. Mathieu Carrière, Research Scientist at Inria Sophia Antipolis, team DataShape
- Prof. Dr. Bettina Speckmann, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of TU Eindhoven, Head the Applied Geometric Algorithms group
We will also welcome a number of local industrialists and entrepreneurs that will present us their point of view and the mathematical problems that they deal with, and exchange directly with the students, discussing job opportunities. Finally, we will be hosting a poster session for which we encourage you to send an abstract. Further information will be provided soon.
MOMI2021 is a project supported and financed by:
The workshop will presumably take place on March 8th and 9th, 2021.
Much to our regret, the current health crisis does not allow us to hold MOMI 2021 on site. However, despite these difficult times, the past year has shown, that online workshops are of great success. Therefore, we will adapt the event to be an online edition and make sure to provide a platform, which allows communication among all participants.
Doctoral schools (ED-STIC and SFA) will give credits for participating at MOMI2021. Check it here!
The registration is now open.
We look forward to seeing you at MOMI2021!
